This is the third week I have tried to join this linky at Doodle Bugs Teaching.  Like everyone else I know, Friday evening and weekend comes and goes and I feel like it is too late to join. Well, better late than never!!

Here we go!

Finally some snow!  Fresh snow makes everything look clean and bright.
It was 27 degress but felt like 14 degree.
After school, my toes were on fire.
Didn't wear the correct shoes - loafers/flats with dress socks.
My socks were wet!

Look at these precious self portraits my kiddos sculpted in art! We have a 6 day rotation and my class gets to art 1 day out of the rotation for 1 hr 15 minutes. They love it and I do too. I told them they couldn't take them home because I wanted to keep them all!  They took them home that afternoon. Our art teacher is incredible and does some fantastic projects with them.

We started studying continents this week. I began by reading Amy's Travels to give the kiddos an overview. As I read interesting facts about each continent, I wrote them on a continent map I have displayed in the classroom.

I purchased Learning the Continents from Hannah Burns at TPT.
We began with South America. I read about the people and land of South America.
We watched a short video from Discovery Learning about South America's culture.

We had our Winter Concert on Friday for 3-5 grade. My youngest is in 3rd grade. Here she is!

Sooooo excited about my new blog design by Christi Fultz at Design by Christi!

What a day, what a day!

Took today off to get my oldest to school and PT. She injured her back in October and is now getting back to school.....long story.....

My youngest cut the tip/pad area of her right ring finger off this weekend (yes...oooooo......groooss) and I kept her home because she was in a ton of pain...

Well......she woke up with a headache.....after getting oldest to school, I stopped by the grocery store....Youngest was begging not to go in but I told her "only 15 minutes."

We were in there less than 5 minutes and ran/sprinted out, stopping at the wonderful trash can out front for her to.....well, dispose of her crackers and orange juice from this morning....poor little thing...

She's been on the couch ALL DAY with towel on head and eyes covered......I think it's her first migraine...

Now dinner is in oven and I have about 3 seconds to join Farley at Oh' Boy 4th Grade for her February Currently.

Getting ready for the new season of Game of Thrones in April by revisiting the last season.

I was so tired of lugging my rolling cart home every (EVERY) night with waaaaay to much stuff in it. My new bag is precious!!  So happy now!

My report cards are due on Feb. 10 and I have my 19 homeroom plus 19 math  and 18 reading to do.  I'm so happy to say that I'm finished with my reading and just have to upload the math. This week will be homeroom cards. My plan is to have them finished by Friday!  I think I can...I think I can...I think I can...

I love running/jogging especially with my doggy, Harper Lee (yes, after Haper Lee the author....My husband would let me name our second girl Harper so when we added another girl to the family (four legged girl) she has the honor of the name!)
I think it is time for another pair.

Forever doing laundry!

Truth:  I am a Native Texan. Fell in love with a New Mexican while we both were at UT and working at the State Capital. Now we live in New Mexico.

Truth:  I have added high intensive interval training workouts to my repertoire.

Fib:  I don't love buttermilk by itself. I grew up with a friend who drank it all the time. Yikees!
I do love Buttermilk Pie though!

Have a great week!

Tuesday was our 100th day of school and the kiddos were happy, happy, HAPPY!

Everyone cheered when we traded in the ones for a ten and the tens for a hundred during calendar meeting!

Right after that we jumped up and did 10 jumping jacks. Later we competed 10 squats. Throughout the day we worked in 8 more sets of 10 exercises!

We estimated how many times we could clap our hands or hop up and down in 100 seconds and then counted the actual number.

I also had the kiddos complete a precious craft showing how they will look when they are 100. I've seen this all over Pinterest.

I had them tear small pieces of construction paper for their skin and then they added eyes, nose, mouth, and hair.

They look fantastic!
AND their writing is coming along.

I laughed when I read what one little gal wrote....."I will make art with my grandchildren and we will connect a piece of writing to it...."

At the end of the day I brought in 100 pancakes complete with syrup! We dicussed and discussed how to divide them equally among 18 children. In the end, each kiddo had 5 1/2 pancakes with 1 left over. I chose not to divide that pancake into 18 small pieces.

I was exhausted at the end of the day and the kiddos were too! The next day I received the sweetest pop up heart from one of my kiddos as a thank you for the 100th day!  Love them.
